Around 3,000 cyclists from all over the country are expected to descend  on Teignmouth for the pre Tour of Britain charity races next Sunday.
And local authorities are reminding people that parking will be difficult on Sunday when the charity rides take place and on Tuesday, September 14 when thousands more descend on the town about 2.15pm for the finish of the Tour of Britain's gruelling first coast to coast Stage 4.
People will be able to use the ferry service to Teignmouth if they park on The Ness and there will also be parking as far afield as Dawlish Warren.
A basic motor home camping site is also being set up at Broadmeadow to accommodate visitors in motor homes from 4th to 6th September and from 13th to 15th September.
The amateur charity  tour Ride cyclists will be tackling one of three routes, the full 175km from Minehead, a 70km from Honiton or a loop the loop 2km around town.
Local people taking part include a tandem riding couple from Teign Valley Pedal  Bashers Cycle Club, who will tackle the 70km from Honitorn and police officers and police community support officers.
Those wanting to take part on the family-friendly ride around Teignmouth, that will take place from 10am to 12 noon, will be able to sign up on the day at Teignmouth Lido.  For more about the race and police community support officers taking part, CLICK HERE

Teignmouth Lifeboat had a busy weekend with one crew being called out three times in a row.
The first launch was to investigate an abandoned kayak close to the Skate Park.
The lifeboat carried out a search between the Point and the Parson and Clerk, found nothing untoward and returned to the station.
Still in the mouth of the river, before reaching the boathouse, the crew received another shout about an unconscious person at Sprey Point.
The boat did a smart turnabout and made its way full speed to the reported casualty only to find that he was unharmed and asleep.
They helped get the person to the coastguard team, who had also been called upon to help, before setting off home to the lifeboat station for  the second time in the space of an hour.
While washing down the lifeboat at the boathouse and refuelling, another shout came from HM Coastguard.
The same crew, Richard Boss, Humphrey Vince and Charlie Woolnough, set off again to help search for a vulnerable female between the Point and Warren Point.
The same shore crew, Matt Slader and Jimmy Cran, was also needed to assist coastguard teams in the shorelines search.
They were needed to help search for a vulnerable female between the Point and Warren Point.
They searched for several hours alongside the police helicopter and Teignmouth and Torbay coastguard teams,  but found nothing untoward and the search was called off.

Teignmouth's new multi-million pound museum is set to open in October.
The opening follows seven years of hard work to secure funding by the museum's governing body, Teign Heritage.
The hard work paid off when funding was found through  the Government's SeaChange programme and major donors including Ugbrooke Envrionmental, the Foyle Foundation and English Heritage.
It will have a Kings Tower front facade, a multi-function community space and a roof terrace.
It will also have space for the many artifacts that have not been on show to the public due to lack of space in the old 1982 building.
