Teignmouth rockers, The Quails, will headline a free music festival on the day thousands roll into town for the Tour of Britain cycle race.
The popular band, which supported Muse's home turf concert last year and who are making a name for themselves in their own right, will appear alongside other talented groups from the county.
The music festival, which will start at 4pm, will help entertain the thousands who are expected to descend on the Den on Tuesday, September 14 for the gruelling Stage 4 of the Tour of Britain
. It is the first coast to coast stage in the history of the race and pro cyclists will finish on the Den after a difficult cycle ride from Minehead.
Last year's race generated more than £6 million for the county's economy and attracted tens of thousands of spectators.
The appearance of The Quails at the coinciding free music festival in Teignmouth will help boost sales of their latest album, Master of Perfection, which is due to be released on October 4 and can be ordered on their website.
