Teignmouth said goodbye yesterday to one of its true stalwarts.
  And everyone at The Teignmo'thian would like to add to the tributes to Cynthia Rose Holmes who almost single-handedly got Kingsway the Community Centre that has offered so much to so many.

Teignmouth Meadow Centre May Re-Open Next Month

Kingsway's Community Centre could be up and running again next month.
For an Exeter-based community scheme is taking over the lease which it is hoped will be taken over by Kingsway Residents
Association in the future. And volunteers are being sought now for the youth club, senior night, or other activities so the necessary police checks can be carried out in readiness for the re-opening.

Teignmouth Police Offer Training on Fake Notes

Teignmouth police are offering traders training to spot fake £20 notes. The move follows a spate of forged notes being passed over counters for goods. Electoral registration forms will start hitting doormats in Teignmouth this week
Around 150 villagers attended a meeting in Bishopsteignton over plans to build houses on land they believe was bequeathed to the village for a museum.

Quails Will Appear at Teignmouth's Free Music Festival

Teignmouth rockers, The Quails, will headline a free music festival on the day thousands roll into town for the Tour of Britain cycle race.

The Teignmouth Lifeboat was launched again yesterday afternoon for two kayakers who were being blown out to sea.
